About the Business
I started my professional life by training as a Student Nurse at the London Hospital in Whitechapel. After qualifying I continued to work there as a Staff Nurse and later as a Sister in a busy Operating Department.
I later trained as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist and worked for 17 years as a Primary Care Counsellor within GP surgeries in Herefordshire Primary Care Trust. During this time I helped to set up and manage a counselling service for women considering termination of pregnancy. I also set up and managed a counselling service for a large organisation in Hereford.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and have recently completed the Human Givens Diploma. I adhere to the Human Givens code of ethics and practice. I am insured to practise and have an enhanced certificate with the Disclosure and Barring Service. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and, in accordance with its requirements, I am in ongoing supervision.
