In times of need sometimes friends and family can help, but there are times when professional support is beneficial. People often find that it is good to talk to someone in confidence, someone who isnot already involved. You might also feel that your issues are unclear and you are not able to see them clearly. Issues that might seem overwhelming can be seen differently in therapy and can be worked through.
There can be occasions in our lives when the people or support networks we would normally turn to are either not appropriate or not available to help with a current difficulty or perhaps to talk aboutsomething that happened long ago. In these circumstances it can offer an opportunity to address such issues objectively with acceptance, encouragement and support.
That way both of you can be heard and allowed to express what you want for yourself and from the relationship. We can work with you to help you get what you, as an individual, want as well as the 'us'of the relationship. We are used to one of the people in the relationship being reluctant to come, and, in every case, once they both come they are very glad they did because it allows them to deal with all the stuff from the past, quickly, and create the relationship that both of you want to have.
