Christine Reddaway Counselling & Psychotherapy

There are many different approaches to counselling and psychotherapy. The Person Centred Approach is based on a deep respect for the person and a recognition that you are an expert in your own life. It is you who have the capacity to heal yourself and change. This process may be facilitated within the safety of a therapeutic relationship. My task as a counsellor and psychotherapist trained in this approach is to offer a relationship within which you can explore the experience and meaning of your own life.

These qualities, professionally and consistently offered, are the central and distinctive characteristics of the Person Centred Approach. I originally started training as a relationship counsellor with Relate in 1990 and worked with Relate for several years and as a surgery counsellor in Cheltenham. I went on to gain my diploma in Person Centred Therapy with PCT Britain which is a BAPC recognised qualification. I have been working in private practice since 1996.
