Counselling offers a caring and confidential place for you to talk about emotional difficulties and issues you are facing in your life, with someone who is trained to listen and help in a non-judgemental and supportive way.

The Banbury Therapy Centre is a community of highly trained private counsellors and psychotherapists who offer their services to the general public. The Centre is a safe and nurturing place whereanyone can come and recieve support to find solutions to lives problems and transitions. If you need help to choose a therapist, we offer a free assessment by a qualified counsellor and referral to the most appropriate practitioner.

I am a registered psychodynamic counsellor / psychotherapist with extensive experience over ten years. I work privately from my clinic in Summertown, in North Oxford. As a qualified psychodynamiccounsellor, my approach is to help you discover and address the root of your problem, and not just deal with the symptoms. I start from the belief that for us all, our present state of mind is influenced by unconscious memories of the past.

My training and experience enables me to utilise different approaches with different people, according to the current research evidence and taking into account an individual's preferences and needs. Ioften use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to help people to move forward and overcome their problems, but I also draw on several other approaches including schema therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and compassion-focused approaches.

Specialists in stress, depression and anxiety at Good Thinking Therapies all of our team are qualified, experienced and accredited experts in a type of talking therapy cognitive behavioural therapy(or CBT for short).
