About the Business
We all have a 'life tape' running in inside us, messages that we have heard while growing up. Sometimes these tapes are positive and help us develop in maturity and independence. Sometimes these tapes contain negative messages which we carry with us like heavy baggage into our adult lives. One thing that therapeutic counselling can create in a safe, confidential space, is the opportunity to examine some of these messages. Sometimes it is enough to have an awareness of the messages.
Sometimes real pain and symptoms in the body lead a person to the question: 'Just what is happening to me?' By entering into a confidential contract with a trained person it may be possible to discover new messages and new coping strategies. In a supported environment with someone who has no emotional attachment to either you or the presenting problem it is possible to look at some aspect of life differently. Therapy is no cure but a series of appropriate achievements.
