I am a qualified, humanistic counsellor specialising in Person-Centred counselling. My personal counselling philosophy is based on the belief that human nature is essentially constructive. I believeevery individual has the internal resources for growth and the ability to fulfil their potential.

The Centre was opened in 1985, one of the first complementary and alternative health centres in South East London. The ambition of the founding members was to offer natural health care at reasonablerates to the local community. The founders were keen to promote the benefits of therapies such as acupuncture, osteopathy, homeopathy, counselling and massage, that were not readily available through the NHS.

I am an integrative counsellor. This means that I work simultaneously on many levels, attending to your thoughts and feelings as well as your physical experience and the dynamics of our relationship. This also means that I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and skills and actively seek a way of combining them to suit you as an individual. I offer both open-ended therapy and short-term interventions focused on a particular issue.

Our mission is to make minimal interventions to help indivduals, teams and organisations reach optimum performance. Our provision of counselling and other services is based on a clear understanding oforganisational considerations, our ability to understand individuals, knowledge of effective responses and ethical requirements. New and better solutions stem from a wider range of experiences, creative avility and understanding the context of the problem.

I am a fully qualified psychotherapist with a special interest in research and neuroscience. My style of working is highly interactive and here-and-now focused (relational). I seek to engage with myclients fully in a two-way dialogue about how the quality of our relatedness informs us and shapes our sense of self and our perceptions of others.

People often seek help when they are in crisis, when it feels like there there are no options left any more. Others think about therapy when they are coping with life but feel they want to makechanges to negative patterns in their thinking, behaviour or relationships. At times like these talking therapies can be very helpful. I work sensitively and in a nonjudgemental way, helping you to understand what is on your mind.
