Ann Heathcote opened The Worsley Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling in 2001, as a centre for the provision of professional psychotherapeutic services.

The Worsley Centre is a warm and welcoming environment for people wishing to undertake counselling and psychotherapy. The practitioners at the Centre care deeply about each individual’s mental health and well-being. They all share a passion for providing high quality therapeutic services.

As well as counselling and psychotherapy for individuals, couples and groups on a private basis; we also provide hypno-psychotherapy; supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists; and therapy rooms for practitioners. We all have times when the going gets tough and we need someone who will really listen to us and our concerns and work with us to help us sort things out, so that we can feel better.

The talking therapies, i.e. counselling and psychotherapy, have been shown to help people deal with difficulties such as stress, anxiety, anger, depression, relationship problems and breakdowns, low self-esteem and confidence, loss and grief, bereavement, and personality difficulties.

The psychotherapists and counsellors who work from The Worsley Centre are independent practitioners who share a passion for providing high quality therapeutic services.

The Centre undertakes a vetting procedure with all practitioners to ensure the highest standards. However, the therapy process is highly personal and clients engage the individual practitioner rather than the Centre.
