I know that it can seem daunting deciding that you might need counselling so you are to be congratulated for getting this far. We all aim to get through life without any difficulties; however thereare times when it can be helpful to talk to someone in privacy and independent of your circumstances. Drawing on over 20 years' experience, I offer both short and long term counselling in a professional and caring environment.
I work in private practice and my clients come to me from many different backgrounds with many different issues they would like to address. In addition to my private practice, I have worked forseveral years at a local counselling centre, seeing clients with a wide range of problems. I have previously worked at an Independent Mental Health hospital for a number of years, doing both individual and group work.

Gestalt is so much more than a therapeutic tool to help those experiencing difficulties in their personal life. Gestalt's championing of humanistic and Eastern values, coupled with its potential toconduct powerful phenomenological inquiry, has caused many of us to use it as a model for personal development, holistic education, research inquiry, organisational development, spiritual inquiry and much more. Many have described my style as high in support and challenge, and laced with humour.
People seek therapy for all kinds of reasons, and my aim is to help clients make sense of feelings they do not understand. I qualified initially as a counsellor and subsequently as a psychoanalyticpsychotherapist, and underwent a lengthy analysis myself during the process.
For many years I have been involved in teaching and education. During my professional development in education I completed my first counselling qualification, a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling andPsychotherapy. Following this training, I became committed to understanding people's psyche and to offering help to those experiencing psychological distress.

Do you want to talk openly about how you are feeling or are you experiencing a difficult time in your life at the present and would like to understand more about any past experiences? From the momentwe are born we experience & learn many different actions, behaviours and feelings. What we learn helps us to interact, respond and make sense of life as we grow older. Sometimes what we have learnt in the past might not fit with what we experience in the future.
