CBT, BACP Accredited, UKRCP Reg. I have been working in counselling and therapy since the early 1990's when, after an initial training in Person Centred and Humanistic counselling (Diploma completed in 1995), I began working as a counsellor at Centre 33, the Young People's Counselling Service in Cambridge where I worked for more than 15 years. During this time I also worked in GP Surgeries in Royston and Stevenage. In 2004, I set up in private practice working from my home address where I have a comfortable counselling room in an outhouse building. In 2007, I returned to further train in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) on a recognised course at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford, and this is now my primary mode of working. This training combined with my Person Centred background means I offer the more structured approach of CBT whilst still regarding the client/therapist relationship as central to my work.
