I am British born and come from a dual heritage background and I have been involved in the counselling field since 1997. Through my work I recognised that including a spiritual dimension tocounselling and psychotherapy can be very helpful to healing and wholeness, and to lead to a more authentic life. This led me to train in Psychosynthesis at the Institute of Psychosynthesis, London, whose degree programmes are validated by Middlesex University.
I have 12 years post-qualification experience as a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, seeing individuals and couples in Kingston upon Thames. People come to counselling with a wide range ofpersonal, emotional and relationship difficulties. There are times in many people's lives when it is difficult to continue to deal with problems alone.
My approach is psychodynamic with the psychoanalytic understanding that some of our emotional life is not easy to be in touch with, and, can only gradually be revealed. The relationship with thetherapist is an important context in which we can explore some of the less conscious feelings that arise, and dreams are also significant as the process of therapy unfolds.

Human freedom involves our capacity to pause between the stimulus and response and, in that pause, to choose the one response toward which we wish to throw our weight. The capacity to createourselves, based upon this freedom, is inseparable from consciousness or self-awareness.

People from all walks of life seek therapeutic help for many different issues. Sometimes there is a very specific reason, but in other cases the cause of distress is less apparent. It is not uncommonfor people not to know exactly what is making them unhappy and in that case therapy can help to uncover the cause of unhappiness and help to put the pieces together.
