I have 12 years post-qualification experience as a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, seeing individuals and couples in Kingston upon Thames. People come to counselling with a wide range ofpersonal, emotional and relationship difficulties. There are times in many people's lives when it is difficult to continue to deal with problems alone.
My approach is psychodynamic with the psychoanalytic understanding that some of our emotional life is not easy to be in touch with, and, can only gradually be revealed. The relationship with thetherapist is an important context in which we can explore some of the less conscious feelings that arise, and dreams are also significant as the process of therapy unfolds.
I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Disability Psychotherapist with an honours degree in Psychology BSc. Hons.) from Goldsmiths College, University of London, a Doctorate in ClinicalPsychology (ClinPsychD) from the University of Surrey and an Advanced Diploma in Disability Psychotherapy from the CPCAB.
I recognise that personal therapy is an important investment in money, time and energy; all of which are often in short supply and I seek to provide the most appropriate service for an affordableoutlay. I hope that whatever difficulties may be troubling you now your investment in counselling will bring its own rewards.
I am a qualified counsellor and Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I work within the Ethical Framework of the BACP. Sessions are confidential, usually1.5 hours duration and charged currently at £45 for individuals, £55 for couples and £65 for families, with concessions available in certain circumstances.
